To say ‘thanks’ for a donation toward new uniforms, the North Miami Pioneer football team did a community service project on September 7th with the North Miami Jaycees. Fifty-eight players and four coaches marched on foot from North Miami Senior High School to the North Miami Jaycee Hall. Once there, board member Maxine Haber divided them into groups to perform various tasks including debris removal and mulching. After the hot and exhausting project, President Mike Holliday fired up the grill and the Pioneers were treated to refreshments in the cool comfort of the Jaycee Hall. The North Miami Jaycees are grateful for the help which will insure that the building is ready for a fresh coat of paint. Donations for the new uniforms came from the Jaycees’ Pioneer Pride Fund as well as Pioneer alumni from across the country!
