Giving thanks and celebrating this holiday season with the North Miami Jaycees

The North Miami Jaycees are ushering in the holiday season with opportunities to both give back and to celebrate:

Bridge to Hope: Saturday, November 17th at 8:00am in Homestead. Join us as we lend our hands to serve a Thanksgiving feast to 500+ needy South Dade residents.

Annual Thanksgiving Pot-Luck: Sunday, November 18th at 6:00pm at the North Miami Jaycee Hall (12100 W. Dixie Highway in North Miami). Bring a dish (and the recipe) to share with your Jaycee friends and family. RSVP and tell us what you are bringing at

Holiday Mail for Heroes: Sunday, November 18th through Thursday, December 6th. Thanksgiving is the perfect time to show appreciation for our many blessings, and what better way than to thank those American service members who keep us safe and free?! To that end, during our Thanksgiving Pot-Luck, we will kick-off our annual “Holiday Mail for Heroes” project. All you have to do is come prepared to add messages of thanks and encouragement to holiday cards for members of the military; all supplies will be provided. Last year we sent 50 cards, but this year we hope to double that figure. If you are not familiar with the program, check out this inspirational video: If you can’t make it to that event, you can still get involved by attending any of our events through December 6th.

38th Annual North Miami WinterNational Thanksgiving Day Parade: Thursday, November 22nd at 10:00am in Downtown North Miami (125th Street between NE 5th and 12th Avenues). Bring a beach chair and join us for this annual spectacle of colorful floats, marching bands, and dazzling entertainers. This year’s theme: “American Spirit”.
